Inhibited Propylene glycol and specially designed package of industrial corrosion inhibitors. The fluid is dyed blue/purple/gold/red to aid in leak detection. Solution in water provide freeze protection to below -60F (-50°C) and bust protection to -100F (-73°C).
Recommended use temperature range: -50F (-45°C) to 325F (160°C).
The effectiveness of OEMCHEM’s inhibited Propylene Glycol formulation transfer fluid in preventing corrosion has been proven both in use and in extensive laboratory testing for systems constructed within temperature, pressure and structural limitations of the following materials aluminum, copper, steel, stainless steel, brass, solder and cast iron.
At different location the property of tap water varies considerably in hardness and chloride content. Chloride is corrosive and use of tap water should be avoided if it contains more than 100 ppm chloride. Hardness of tap water also need to be considered, as it introduces calcium and magnesium, which form scale on the surfaces of cooling systems walls and significantly impeding heat transfer. Further as the scale comes of the metal surface accumulate into large particles or deposits in cooler areas and some small particles are acting as an abrasive for the metal. Presents of oxidizing chemicals or acidic products will affect the quality and the performance of the product. For long life and best corrosion protection, the mix should be combined with de-ionized water.
b Freezing points are below -50°C
n/d Burst point no data
